Volunteers needed
Afghan lawyers and judges have had to leave their country because of the threats they suffer from the Taliban. Judges and prosecutors who tried and prosecuted members of the Taliban are particularly at risk. It is extremely difficult to leave, often after a period of hiding.
One Afghan lawyer has reached Manchester and is living in a hostel. His name is Samiullah Mohammadi. He studied Law and Political Science and was a prosecutor in Afghanistan. He has some English and would like work shadowing and/or mentoring opportunities to help him understand the English legal system.
