BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2022 – Time for Change: Action Not Words

The Black Solicitors Network (North) are delighted to invite you to a special panel event commemorating UK Black History Month.

This is an opportunity for us to celebrate the recent progress made in the diversity and inclusion space, and to reflect on ongoing challenges with the hope of shaping a better future.

The panel discussion will be under Chatham House Rules and will be followed by networking over drinks and nibbles.

  • Sally Penni MBE (moderator): Founder and CEO of Women in the Law UK, Barrister at Kenworthy’s Chambers, TED talker, and host of the Talking Law Podcast
  • Cordella Bart-Stewart OBE: Co-founder and Director of The Black Solicitors Network, founder of Stewart and Co Solicitors, and Judge in the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal
  • Olivia Balson: Former Head of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s Global Legal Services Centre based in Manchester and now Global Head of Freshfield’s Client Delivery Group
  • Vanisha Parmar: Former Diversity and Inclusion Officer at the Solicitors Regulation Authority and now Head of Change and Engagement at diversity consultancy Building Brilliance
  • Bridget Tatham: Partner at Browne Jacobson LLP and Chair of the African Caribbean Community Initiative
