TACKLING UNFAIR PRACTICES IN THE LEASEHOLD MARKET
You may have read that there is a government consultation on changes to the law governing leasehold properties.
Click HERE to see a copy of the Consultation Paper which seeks views on advertising leasehold practices, such as rapidly rising ground rents and disproportionate fees.
This is a hugely important, topical issue and, therefore, The Property Committee of the Manchester Law Society would like to collate the views of members . Please email your comments (or those of your clients) to Sarah.Nunwick@slatergordon.co.uk by Friday, 8th September, 2017
We’ll then try to reflect everyone’s comments in a submission to the Conveyancing and Land Law Committee of the national Law Society, so our views are can be considered when their response is prepared.
Stephen Lintott, Chair, Manchester Law Society Property Committee
