“The roadshows will provide an opportunity also to discuss. the wider aims of the Training for Tomorrow programme – to develop a definition of what a competent solicitor looks like, how we ensure solicitors’ competence at the point of qualification and on an ongoing basis, and how and where the responsibility for ensuring ongoing competence of solicitors best fits within the SRA’s regulatory framework.

“We are keen to engage stakeholders every step of the way in delivering this review – the first of its kind in over 40 years – and are encouraging feedback through our dedicated microsite www.sra.org.uk/t4t “
