Sign up now for the 2026 Manchester Legal Walk
Hundreds of legal professionals and supporters of access to justice will take to the streets of Manchester next month to raise much-needed funds supporting the delivery of free legal support, advice and representation across the UK.
Law firms, chambers, charities and individuals are now invited to sign up for the 2026 Manchester Legal Walk, which takes place on Thursday 25th June and aims to raise thousands of pounds for the Access to Justice Foundation (ATJF).
The ATJF is one of the UK’s most respected legal advice funders with a unique remit supporting free legal services, providing over £2 million in recent years to organisations in the Greater Manchester region such as Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit, Greater Manchester Law Centre, and Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton.
Thousands of solicitors, barristers, judges and support staff across the UK take part in legal walks every year to raise funds for the ATJF – with Greater Manchester’s legal community successfully raising more than £2,700 in an impressive showing last year.
Participants can walk, jog or run alongside the 5-kilometre route, which starts outside the Manchester Civil Justice Centre and snakes its way around many of the city’s legal landmarks.
The Greater Manchester Pro Bono Committee – bringing together many of the region’s core charities and law firms – is organising this year’s Legal Walk, with generous sponsorship from the Law Society.
Team organisers or individual participants must complete the registration form by 5pm on Monday 1st June in order to take part. Early registration is strongly recommended!
Donations can now be submitted through a dedicated JustGiving page.
