Manchester Legal Awards

What are the Manchester Legal Awards?
The Manchester Legal Awards recognise and reward the wide range of skills and talent of the brightest legal minds in the north west.
Launched by the Manchester Law Society in 2010, the awards celebrate the best legal talent from across the region. Categories cover all areas of law with organisation, team and individual awards.
Now in their 17th year the awards recognise and celebrate the best legal talent from across the region.
The 23 categories cover all areas of law with individuals, teams, firms and chambers of all sizes encouraged to enter.
Winners are revealed at the glittering black-tie ceremony at The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, on Thursday 2nd July 2025, and we are again expecting over 650 attendees.
Do I need to be a member of Manchester Law Society to enter?
No – entry is free for all. You can enter yourself or nominate a colleague.
How are they judged?
A panel of judges made up of professionals and business leaders will assess all entries against four criteria and award up to 10 marks for each.
The top scoring entries from each category are added to our shortlist, will be announced on 5th May 2025.
All shortlisted entries are then interviewed by a panel of judges on Friday 12th June. If you are entering the awards make sure your representatives keep the judging day free in their diaries!
There is one exception to this, the Lifetime Achievement Award which is awarded by the Manchester Law Society Council.
