International Committee

The International Committee was established to strengthen Manchester’s position as a global legal hub and to build meaningful connections between the city’s legal community and lawyers around the world.

The committee brings together solicitors, barristers, academics, and legal professionals with an interest in cross-border legal work, international business, and global collaboration.

Its core aims are to promote Manchester’s legal expertise internationally, foster cooperation with overseas legal professionals and institutions, and support internationally qualified lawyers living and working in the UK.

The committee also works closely with local universities and partners to encourage knowledge exchange, student engagement, and professional development.

A flagship initiative of the committee is the development of the International Manchester Legal Conference – an event designed to showcase the city’s legal talent and facilitate global dialogue.

The committee welcomes members with an international outlook who wish to help shape Manchester’s legal future on the world stage.
