Mohammed Hafejee, Partner, Latitude Law

After completing his university studies, Mohammed has since gained considerable experience in all aspects of immigration law since his legal career began in 2009, with a particular focus on Business Immigration..

He joined Latitude Law as a solicitor in 2021, rising rapidly to Partner within four years. Recognised in Legal 500 2025 for his expertise advising start-ups and small enterprises, he helps UK businesses secure and maintain sponsor licences, and advises employers on compliance, including right to work checks.

Mohammed also supports overseas high-net-worth entrepreneurs pursuing UK opportunities, with particular specialism in Global Talent visas for international sportspersons and individuals of exceptional talent or promise. He is an ambassador for an approved UKVI English language test provider and recognised in the Legal 500.

 

Gemma Tracey, Partner, JMW Solicitors

Gemma trained to become a solicitor at a niche immigration practice based in Manchester; she qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2015 and subsequently as a solicitor in 2017.

In late 2023, Gemma was recognised as a Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500, and maintains this ranking. JMW’s immigration team, led by Gemma, was also recently noted as a Firm to Watch by The Legal 500. She has also previously been shortlisted for ‘Legal Professional of the Year’ at the Manchester Young Talent Awards 2018, and ‘Lawyer of the Year’ at the Made in Manchester Awards 2019.

With over 10 years’ experience, Gemma specialises in right to work checks, sponsorship of Skilled Workers, Ministers of Religion and Global Business Mobility route migrants, and sponsor licence compliance audits, having helped secure a Global Business Mobility Service Supplier licence for one of just 19 organisations. She also assists private individuals, including entrepreneurs and investors, with their immigration matters.
