NEWS RE ALEXANDRA HOUSE EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNAL BUILDING

  • 06/05/2025

Unfortunately, the Alexandra House Employment Tribunal building in Manchester remains closed whilst the detailed designs for a temporary scaffold safety feature, known as a crash deck, are subject to due diligence checks to ensure safety and security.  Contractors are ready to start work erecting the crash deck once the design is approved.

We are sorry that this is taking some time, but we hope that users will understand the need to ensure that the proposals are safe and secure.  installation work will hopefully commence this week to allow the building to re-open during the week commencing 12 May 2025.  However, as we are sure you will appreciate, the safety of users remains paramount, and we will not re-open the building until it is safe to do so.

Meanwhile, Tribunal hearings will continue to either be held in the nearby Manchester Piccadilly Exchange Tribunal Hearing Centre or remotely according to judicial direction.

Users will be updated accordingly and can continue to contact the Tribunal with urgent enquiries via [email protected]or by telephone which has been re-directed.

The support, patience, and co-operation of users since this problem emerged on 14 April 2025 is greatly appreciated.  A further update will be issued by close of business on Friday 9 May 2025.
