Taking part in a mass-participation running event can be a logistical nightmare. With massive queues for facilities, nowhere safe to leave belongings, and no chance of a relaxed build up to your big event. For the 4th year running, We Love MCR Charity are offering our runners the chance to remove all that stress with our VIP Experience, so the only thing you have to focus on is your run!
The experience includes completely FREE tickets to either the 10K or half-marathon for our fundraisers, saving runners around £50 each, and access to an exclusive city-centre space within Manchester Town Hall right around the corner from the event start line. It’s a space to meet fellow runners, use facilities, hot and cold drinks, snacks, music to soundtrack your warm-up and a very warm welcome from the We Love MCR Team on the day – everything you don’t expect from a city-centre run!
Participation Requirements:
All we ask of our fundraisers is to aim for a fundraising target of £150, which we will support you in achieving with stewardship and tips along the way.
Registration Process:
We will ask each runner to fill out a registration form with basic details, and then set up an individual Fundraising Page on JustGiving. (if participants are doing this as part of a workplace team, Team Pages can be organised, just speak to WLMC staff). Once we have confirmation that a runner has set up their Fundraising Page, we will then pass on that runner’s details to the Great Run Company, who will issue your token. We will be with you every step of the way to ensure this is as smooth as possible.
Then it’s on you to train for the big day – but thanks to our partnership with Manchester Active, we will also give our runners tips throughout!
